This was my first venture out to take photos since my husband passed away on July 3rd, and to be honest it did feel 'lonely'. Not alone, but Tom would always ask me about the match, take a look at my photos, didn't matter what the subject was, and pass a comment or two and he's sit quietly while I edited them. Now I have his dog nudging me every few minutes for attention or he wants to go out, so my apologies for not hanging around to speak to anyone.
Back to the match, Withy ladies scored first and I had to believe this game they might actually win, they played like Lions in never giving up but were outclassed by the speed of the runners from Okehampton Women. To me the score was immaterial as both teams played with more gusto than I've seen some male teams play.
A couple of quite painful injuries suffered by the Okehampton Women which I hope won't take them too long to be back playing once again.
Yes I did enjoy taking photos once again of people doing something they enjoy as a hobby/sport, I may have got my mojo back. ;-)
