Having been starved of taking Football photos for a while I ventured out on a glorious sunny evening to capture the match between Exeter Uni FC and Newton Abbott.
A arrived to a pitch that any Premier Team would have been proud to play on, level, uniform covering of grass and I swear every blade looked as though it had been combed in place. A real credit to the hard work that Groundsman across the country do too keep their Team playing.
The match itself was very evenly shared by both Teams and the score really doesn't show that but Newton Abbott battled hard especially in the second half, although this was interrupted by some very disrespectful individuals who drove vans towing caravans in, whizzed them round on the adjoining Rugby pitch and then left. Unfortunately as I left I spotted them in the Topsham FC grounds.
Back to the Match itself, a number of yellow cards but nothing to serious and no signs of any aggressive attitudes towards opposing team members, something to be proud of when it seems Premier Club members don't always set a good example. The score, no I won't bother mentioning the score suffice to say Exeter Uni FC won.
If only Newton Abbott had put heart and soul into the first half as they did the second, the result could well have been different.
If anybody would like an ecopy of any of the photos for their Club or personal use please email me through the Contact Page with the Photo Number and I'll happily send you a hi-res version.
