Well I always have something to say about the Match I take photos of so don't take this personally but I've a passion for the game and like to see it played well.
This being the first time I seen either side play, had no idea what League or position in the League either Team held it was very obvious the Exewick Villa were the stronger team, although not always the most skilled. Bulk played quite a part in Exewicks game with rather more body barging from some which for me spoilt alot of the better points. However, they were well trained which was obvious with no Prima Donna's and encouragement came from all of the team as they played. They did deserve to win but Clyst Valley also had the opportunity to score on more then one occasion.
Clyst Valley you don't have to accept my tips but I'll tell you all the same, do with them what you want. Goal Kicks, vary the length as each time a long kick went to the opposition as only one man in a forward position. The back four need to show a bit more enthusiasm and run up the field as a Goal Kick takes place, sauntering slows the game and you look dejected which any good team will pick up on. You've got some good players so really there is nothing to stop you scoring you just need a little confidence in your abilities. Exewick have that confidence in droves.
Before you think 'it's an old woman what does she know about the game'. I trained under 16's many moons ago and go to many Grass Roots Football Matches to take photos as well as Matches between Semi Pro's. I love the game, the technical skills involved and the joy it brings to so many people whether its the Sport they do or they are just a fan.
I enjoyed the Match and hope despite my comments I can come again to take photos.
