Ok, who ordered a dry sunny day for the Badger Goss Trophy Scramble as it was something rare in the days when Badger himself rode.  I remember deep ruts of cloying mud being sprayed, sometimes deliberately, from rear wheels so if you weren't quick enough to turn your back you got a face full.

I digress, but those memories are happy ones. 

It's quite a few years since I last went to a Scramble, these days they like to sound posh by calling it a Moto Cross, but I can't see the difference, maybe somebody could explain.

Badger would have been proud of every rider yesterday and would have had a word of encouragement to the Pit Crew and the family who support them.

There were definately some Experts riding as the style was there for all to see, new lads and lasses gaining experience and the more mature lads who will never admit to being a little long in the tooth to compete, but the love of the hobby is deep withing their bones.

I did enjoy this nostalgic trip back to my younger days,  One thing is for sure as Arni says 'I will be back'.
