Just a few photos of the Rufford Abbey Historical Bazzarre where Alex at just six years old gave his first public display of 17thC Cannon Firing procedure in the arena.

All he was worried about was whether he could be heard and whether the arranged Pistol shot would actually happen.

The event was well organised and gave us the chance to have a relaxing weekend which culminated in a full scale Nerf Gun battle between the members of the 'Aldwinckle 17thC Re-enactors' and another members cooking skills being put to the test.  I'm still not convinced that washing the sausages in the dishwater after they had rolled of the griddle into the dirt is the answer but a week later the culprit was still breathing and not pushing up daisies. ;-)
