On a warm sunny Saturday Wellingborough Town FC welcomes Pinchbeck FC to the Doughboys behind the Dog and Duck, London Road, Wellingborough. (Just for those who might not know of this small town in the Midlands).
The game itself was end to end, fast moving, flowing from one end to the other with some wayward passing from both teams but mainly accurate showing great ball control. Pinchbeck let themselves down by giving away two penalties but otherwise it was a good clean game despite a couple of yellow cards being issued which was a very questionable decision by the referee. Note: He's in charge though. ;-)
With the score at 1:1 it seemed Pinchbeck may have gotten the upper hand but the Doughboys lifted their game. moved the ball around and took control.
With the final score being WTFC 4 v Pinchbeck 1.
