'The Newark Sconce event was organised by the Kings Guard with the support from a number of other Regiments including Hammonds, Slanning's, Manchester's, Molyneux's and an odd Grey's.

​The Children especially enjoyed this one as they took part in the display riding horse and wielding pike in a 'Charge to Horse' that had everybody smiling and cheering them on.

​Their imagination as too what you could do with a pile of logs varied from Jenga to battle fortifications and not one mentioned TV all weekend, and for once the weather was kind and we packed up dry. ;-)
