Thanks to 'Southam First' for assisting Hoghtons in arranging a Muster with a differance, sometimes a little too different and far too spread out too which made for some continuity problems but the public enjoyed the free event. 'Southam First' did as they intended and put Southam on the map.
The Cameo performers worked hard in town as did those on the Living History Camp in the recreation ground but 'never the twaine should meet', which could have been integrated more fully and yes the Soldiers being billeted as a Cameo had dozens wishing to take part.
As for anachronisms in my photos, well ............... unless you only wanted close up's of single characters then I'm afraid it wasn't possible, even the single person became a problem as you will no doubt see.
Hopefully in a couple of years we'll be invited back to Southam and 'Southam First' keep up the good work they do.
And another reminder to Members: If you are in costume the Public see you as part of the performance so please remember that a camera is an anachronism as is the can of cola or the plastic carrier bag. ;-)
