This made a pleasant change, being a member of the Public watching other re-enactors.

However,  it was somewhat spoilt by those who don't seem to realise that if you are wandering around in costume then you are part of the 'performance' so using a modern camera or a mobile phone spoils the overall feeling of the event.

That said it was a well organised and well attended event and I particularly enjoyed the fashion show and the walk along the Canal with the various barges selling everything from brass candlesticks to ice cream.
