Probably the worse weather of the year for taking photos of a sport I love but even though the wind was howling, the rain lashing down without letting up at all, the Charity Match between Whitworth FC & SE Dons went ahead. A large crowd supported the event despite the weather and the game went from one end to the other without any team dominating the game.
The score at the end of 90 minutes was Whitworths FC 1 - SE Dons 1.
Now this is where it got very confusing as it went too penalties. Well lets just say the only one that didn't take a shot was the Managers dog, the score ( I have no idea). The winners of this game was definitely the 'Maxwell Mallows Brighter Future Fund', the Charity this wonderful game, played in a fantastic atmosphere was in aid of.
The photos aren't the best but I hope they show a hard fought game, in appalling weather but in the best spirit of the game.
