A sleepy little town that was in a strategic position during the period of the English Civil Wars is Towcester. It was there on the Moette and Bailey mound adjacent to the new Council offices development that a few members of Hammonds Regiment of the Sealed Knot made there presence known on saturday april 12th 2014 as cannon roared and muskets fired to announce the new section relating to the Civil Wars in Towcester Museum.
