Popped out today in the hope of catching a few photos of the Ladies Cycle Tour 2017 and I was in luck.  

​First over to the top of Rockingham hill and a 'Queen of the Mountain Stage',  Its one of the steepest hills in Northamptonshire but not a single rider looked puffed and out of breath as the pack headed towards me.  I've no idea who was who but it was fantastic to see the pure physical effort the women put into their sport.

Then a quick trip back to the Harrowden Road junction with the A509 and I was astounded by the nearly three minute lead the young lady had at this stage, so much so I nearly missed taking and shots.

For some who were way back I shouted encouragement as it must be a little disheartening to see people wandering away from the course as you pass.  I do hope they all finished safely and tomorrows stage brings more luck.
