Now that was something special as the 'Aldwinckles 17thC Living History' accepted an invite to take part in the Colchester Military Tattoo 2014. So the family and a few invited guests took a trip east and received a terrific welcome from friends and the public.

The massed bands, motorcycle displays and a plethora of excellent re-enactment groups complete with a WW1 tank kept visitors enthralled.

I'll let my photos show you just some of what went on and my apologies if your group doesn't feature but with the thousands of visitors finding the time to get round was pretty difficult.
