They say there is a first time for everything and this was my first time taking photos of a 5Star Cross Country at the Burghley House Three Day Event, sponsored by Landrover.

To say both horse and riders are a little bonkers taking on these huge solid jumps over undulating ground is putting it mildly.  

Fantastic to watch, needless to say you'd never catch me doing that even in my much younger days, in a beautiful setting.

I've no idea who was who or who won, but each and everyone of those who took part have my admiration, including the crew repairing fences and every single person who was involved.

I enjoyed the challenge of taking action photos, I hope you enjoy seeing them.
