Hottest day of the Year so far and Phoenix FC played Hardingstone Sun in the semi final of the Captains Cup.   Phoenix were hot, had control of the game for around 70% and played some delightful football and its only thanks to a brilliant keeper in the Hardingstone goal that kept the score to one all at full time.

​The dreaded penalty's:
 I remember Stuart Pearce's face and a long list of other professionals when they failed to score in the penalty shoot out. Sadly though expressions were seen on a couple of the Phoenix players today when they lost four/three on penalty's.

​Again Hardingstones saviour was the keeper.   Royals will have a difficult job to beat him in the final.
