Given the opportunity to actually be on the Beach taking photos of this 'mad' lot, getting myself covered in sand and protecting my camera from the onslaught, how could I refuse the Challenge.
My utmost respect for these riders as walking in the deep soft sand on Weymouth Beach was hard enough, racing as they did was incredible. Really strenuous on both the body and the nerves, but the exhilaration in completing the race by recording as many laps as possible in the time allowed must have been amazing.
My thanks really have to go Purbeck MCC for the organisation, all those builders and course setters, from the Digger Driver to those that banged in dozens of wooden posts, the Marshalls and the Riders who gave me some terrific action to work with.
If anyone would like an e-copy of any of these photos (foc) please use the Contact Page and copy the link on the photo you require into the email.
