Invited by Manchester's Regiment of the Sealed Knot to support them at a Heritage Lottery Funded event at Bolton Boys School we were delighted to accept. Despite the exceedingly hot weather which did make for some uncomfortable times for those wearing woollen items of clothing it was very successful with a very good crowd on the Sunday.
Those who wanted to watch the England Quarter Final were very lucky when arrangements were made to open the Schools Clubhouse/Bar early and the big screen was dropped. If the lads in Russia didn't hear us all I can say is we certainly tried.
A good Living History with Members from a number of Regiments including Godolphins, Newcastle's, Hammonds and others all went to build an interesting camp. Great skirmish with a couple of quite steep gradients to climb and a hanging, all added up to a fantastic little event.
