Having passed a sign on the A14 to Hamerton Wildlife Park I made plans to take two six year olds during the half term holiday.
The weather was cold yet sunny but after torrential rain the day before walking round between the enclosures became a bit of a nightmare as there are few solid paths and the rest was a quagmire of thick glutinous mud.
However this didn't detract from the children's enjoyment in seeing the animals especially the White Tigers and the tiny baby Wallaby in its mothers pouch.
