This was a day out with a difference, watching 'Historic' cars, (most of which I'd driven in my younger years) thundering round the track at Silverstone. The old Anglia I drove had hardly any pull in third gear and the Cortina MK1 was past its sell by date even then. Great to watch but oh so aggrevating to have such high fences surrounding the track when you want to take photos. I managed by at one stage climbing up onto a pallet of .... which I presume had been left ready to build a marque for the Grand Prix. Another time I sat on the dirt and prayed I get shots through a gap in the fencing. Was it worth it, thats upto you who view the photos, but I certainly enjoyed the challenge.
