As quite a newcomer to listening and taking photos of the local Wind Bands, I am rather surprised by the large number of very talented individuals there are in the area. So todays Concert in Abington Park by the Nene Valley Community Band was no exception. Beautifully played and covering a vast selection from Musicals to Films, from the Beatles to the Stones, and so much more.
I'm really pleased I made the effort to attend as did the hundreds who did aswell. One little lady often stole the show as she mimicked her Dad as he Conducted the Band.
The only problem with this particular Bandstand is access to take many photos although the ornate metal fence and hedging has it's place, it is a little problematical when trying to take photos of all those who are playing.
