What a fantastic game today as Exmouth RFC played Marlborough RFC for I believe the first time.  Looking at the size and the warming up session of the Marlborough team I thought Exmouth could well be in for a trouncing but oh boy was I surprised by the accurate passing and the speed of the Cockles today. Whether it was the chilly weather that kept them on their toes or just sheer guts and determination it was certainly the best Match I've seen for some time. Exmouth were run away winners with the score of 68 to 17 but Marlborough did themselves proud and didn't give up the game, instead they put their heads down and in my untrained, unqualified opinion played better in the 2nd half.

The quality of these photos aren't that good but my excuse is that today was very poor light so my apologise. 

This will be the last game I cover for a while as I have to go home to Northants until mid March, but I will be back if you will have me.
