Having been made so welcome at Cheriton I took up the invite to take photos of the Cropredy 380 re-enactment and as it's not far from my home I took the opportunity to take photos and to catch up with many friends. Some people seem to have been fed an false reason for my absence from events over the last five years so if you would like to hear the real one, just Private Message me or use the Contact Page on this website. ;-)
Going back to the event, good to see so many faces on Living History, some old some new and although spread over quite a large area many had interesting demonstrations and were engaging with the Public.
The Battle, well when will the SK learn that it's not ideal to fight as far away from the Public lines or predominantly with backs to the Public. I know it's not easy and some ignore the scripts believing they know best and can ignore the Rules of Engagement etc etc, but by far the the most interesting for the Public was the Sherborne Castle Muster where the crowd line was a zigzag and the Public had the feeling of being in the middle of it. Just my thoughts. ;-)
